I am privileged to say a few words about Al-Manar Nursing College which was established in 2022.
Al-Manar Nursing College is a proud member of Al-manar Hospital Family. The College is affiliated by University of Dhaka and Bangladesh Nursing and Midwifery Council with the approval of Ministry of Health and Family Welfare.
Nurses have been playing crucial roles in the health care system from primary level to tertiary level.
In Bangladesh there is huge shortage of qualified nurses. The Govt. is concerned to overcome the issue to fulfill the gap between nurse- doctor ratio. It is impossible to provide quality of care to the ailing patients without competent nurses.
As a result, patients and their relatives suffer in various ways such as long staying in the hospital, involvement of money, wastage of time of both the patients and their relatives that create mental and physical pain and anxiety.
Globally, nurses have good job opportunities with high salary and promotion. In Bangladesh the nurses entry position are also raised to second class with career opportunity.
For higher education, the number of nursing Colleges and Institutes are being icreased gradually in the Govt. and private sectors. Nursing profession is becoming more popular than before.
Therefore, Al-Manar Nursing College is committed to provide quality of nursing education with a legacy of excellence in nursing.
